Okay - to setup your Outlook Express to verify SMTP - please follow the steps below.

Graphics are included to help you see what you need to do. The graphics are large so please scroll down as neccessary.

1. Open you Outlook Express as you normally would.

2. Click on "Tools" on your top menue bar - then left click on "Accounts".

It will open a windows called Internet Accounts to add or change email accounts. Click in the box that says "Mail". This should show a list of your email accounts including your AmericasGate Internet email account.

3. Click on the appropriate email account you have with AmericasGate Internet Services and then click "Properties" in the upper right hand corner.

After you select the "Properties" button, it will take you to a window like you see below. Here you click the "More Settings" box.

Next - Please click on the second folder from the top which says "Servers".

At this point - all you need to do is check off the button that says "My server requires authentification"

Next click of the box that says "Settings". Make sure the "Use same settings as my incoming mail server" radio button is checked off.

Click the "Okay" Button it will take you back to the menu below.

Here you click the "Apply" button then click the "Okay" button and it will take you back to the menue below;

Click the "Close" button and you are all set!
